(Egyptian Ship borne Automatic Identification System (EAIS

It is a "ship to ship" or "ship to shore" broadcast system. This system works through installing receivers in maritime ports and connecting them with EMDB systems. Thus, it transmits a live image of vessels calling at maritime ports and passing by territorial waters for the purpose of monitoring and analyzing its movement. All these data are transmitted automatically and in a short period of time, which does not exceed one minute (this is done through a specialized program, not allowed for usage for public users, as they contain strategic information). A constant image is published daily in Egyptian maritime ports through the sector's official website, as the location of vessels appear in maritime ports, where the system has been installed. As for the current system (direct), it is used in the authorities allowed to view these data, such as (Marine Forces, Minister of Transport Office, and Maritime Safety Authority, Search and Rescue, Maritime Port Authority ….etc). This is executed through the network they are connected to and the major office of EMDB, where all central databases exist.
